Our team arrives with the materials, fragrance selections, equipment, and guidance needed for your group to enjoy a creative experience together. We handle the workshop setup, lead everyone through the process step by step, package the finished products, and clean up our workspace before we leave.

Traveling Workshop Options

Candle-Making Workshop

$45 per participant
Eight-participant minimum
Approximately 90 minutes
Recommended for ages 10 and older

Each guest will:

  • Choose an amber or clear glass candle jar with a lid
  • Explore a fragrance bar featuring approximately 24 scents
  • Select one fragrance for their candle
  • Measure and pour their own candle with step-by-step guidance
  • Create and apply a label
  • Receive their finished candle packaged to take home that day

Guests select one fragrance for their candle. Fragrance mixing is not included in this workshop.

Candles require a short amount of time to cool before they can be moved and packaged. We plan the workshop so that guests can take their candles home at the end of the event.

Goat’s Milk Soap-Making Workshop

$35 per participant
Eight-participant minimum
Approximately 90 minutes
Recommended for ages 10 and older

Each guest will:

  • Make two bars of goat’s milk melt-and-pour soap
  • Choose from available soap molds
  • Explore our fragrance selection
  • Select from available colors and decorative or exfoliating mix-ins
  • Measure and pour their soap with step-by-step guidance
  • Receive their finished soaps packaged to take home

Because this workshop involves scales and heated materials, it is best suited for participants ages 10 and older.

Perfume and Cologne-Making Workshop

$50 per participant
Eight-participant minimum
Approximately 90 minutes
Recommended for ages 14 and older

Each guest will:

  • Explore 12 base fragrances
  • Learn how different fragrance elements can change or complement a scent
  • Select from approximately 15 fragrance elements
  • Create a custom perfume or cologne with step-by-step guidance
  • Fill one 30 ml bottle
  • Create and apply a personalized label
  • Receive their finished fragrance packaged to take home

Each guest makes one 30 ml bottle during the workshop. Additional bottles are not available to make during scheduled workshop time.

Combination Workshops

Would you like your group to make more than one product? Two workshop experiences may be combined into one customized event.

Combination workshops generally require approximately 90–120 minutes, depending on the selected activities, guest count, and venue setup. Contact us for availability, planning assistance, and a custom quote.

What Is Included

Every traveling workshop includes:

  • A complete mobile workshop setup at your location
  • All necessary workshop materials and equipment
  • A temporary fragrance-selection area
  • Step-by-step guidance from the LiveYoung Candle Co. team
  • Labels and packaging for finished products
  • Setup and cleanup of our workshop area

Our team generally arrives 60–90 minutes before the scheduled workshop start time. The exact arrival and setup time will depend on the selected workshop, guest count, venue access, and event requirements.

Venue and Setup Requirements

The host or venue must provide:

  • An indoor space for the workshop
  • Access to electricity
  • Tables and seating for all participants
  • Additional table or counter space for our fragrance bar and working materials
  • Sufficient access and time for unloading, setup, and cleanup

We can provide table coverings for the workshop surfaces when needed.

Before booking, please confirm that your venue permits the selected activity and can accommodate the necessary setup. Additional requirements may apply depending on the workshop, guest count, or venue.

Pricing and Additional Fees

An 18% gratuity is added to all traveling workshop bookings.

Travel within 10 miles of our Frederick store is included. For locations more than 10 miles away, a travel fee of $1 per mile applies to each additional mile in both directions.

For example, if your venue is 25 miles from our store, the first 10 miles each way are included. The remaining 15 miles each way result in a $30 round-trip travel fee. Your exact travel fee will be calculated using the event address and included in your quote before booking.

Guest Counts

A reasonably accurate guest count is required when booking so that we can prepare your quote and calculate the required deposit.

The guest count provided when you reserve the event becomes the minimum number of participants for which you will be charged. The total cannot be reduced after booking.

You may add participants, subject to availability, until 24 hours before the event. Any additions must be confirmed before the remaining balance is paid so we can prepare the correct number of materials.

If a paid participant is unable to attend, another guest may take their place. When possible, the host may also use that participant’s materials to make an additional product. Missed participants will not be deducted or refunded.

Payment and Date Reservation

A nonrefundable deposit equal to 50% of the total invoice is required to reserve your event date and time.

After your event details are approved, we will send an invoice for the deposit. Your requested date is not reserved while the invoice remains unpaid. Because another event may inquire about the same date, we recommend paying the deposit promptly.

The remaining balance is due 24 hours before the event. We will send an invoice for the final payment, including any approved guest additions or applicable charges.

Your booking is not confirmed until the deposit has been received.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

All payments, including the 50% deposit, are nonrefundable.

If you need to reschedule and notify us at least 48 hours before the scheduled event, the amount paid may be transferred to a new available date and time. The payment will not be returned as a refund.

Requests received less than 48 hours before the event are not eligible to be transferred. The deposit and any other payments already made will be forfeited.

If you cancel the event rather than reschedule it, all payments made remain nonrefundable.

Workshop Purpose and Recording Policy

LiveYoung Candle Co. workshops are recreational DIY experiences intended for guests to relax, have fun, and create something together. They are not professional training courses and do not teach participants how to manufacture products independently or start a candle, soap, perfume, or related business.

We do not provide formulas, measurements for independent production, supplier or sourcing information, manufacturing guidance, or business instruction.

Personal photos and short videos for memories or social media are welcome. Recording our instruction or process for reproduction, training, educational, or commercial purposes is not permitted.
